BIO
Carrick Reider is an American screenwriter born and raised in the Midwest. Educated in art and architecture at The Ohio State University and the University of Pennsylvania, he approaches storytelling with an eye for structure, atmosphere, and the moral frameworks that shape identity.
His screenplays explore inherited expectation and spiritual dislocation, drawn to characters who once believed they were exceptional, only to confront the failure of the lives they have built and decide if anything is worth preserving.
Rooted in place yet universal in scope, his work examines the coexistence of beauty and decay, lush spectacle and interior reckoning.
He currently lives and works in Philadelphia, PA.
